WORKSHOPS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES
I offer a range of workshops tailored to both amateur and professional photographers, as well as anyone eager to explore the photographic medium in creative and meaningful ways. These programs are designed to foster skill development, personal growth, and social engagement through photography.
- Therapeutic Photography: Using a psychology-informed approach, these workshops explore the therapeutic potential of photography. Participants engage with photography as a tool for self-exploration and expression.
- Community and Identity Exploration: Focusing on participatory photography and photovoice, these workshops empower diverse groups to explore and express their identities. Through guided visual storytelling, participants craft personal and social narratives that bridge the past, present, and future.
- Photographer Training and Development: Specialized sessions covering everything from project development and research methods to editing, narrative techniques, marketing tools, and presentation strategies, helping photographers refine their skills and elevate their work.
Each workshop is designed to provide both practical skills and a deeper understanding of how photography can impact personal and collective experiences.
Past and Upcoming Workshops
I have coordinated and facilitated several workshops, including Home Imagined: Storytelling Through Photographs in collaboration with IOM - UN Migration Greece for Refugee Week Greece 2024, and Introduction to Therapeutic Photography with Luz Visual Studies. Additionally, I led the Therapeutic Photography workshop with the Student Cultural Society of the University of Athens (POFPA) in 2023/4. Looking ahead, in November 2024, I will be facilitating Narrating Womanhood with Luz Visual Studies, a project development workshop for female photographers.
